The Maxalto Sileo is a bed designed by Antonio Citterio for the new collection presented at Maison&Objet. The Sileo bed is ideal for relaxing in the bedroom and creating an intimate atmosphere for restful sleep in full comfort. The name derives from Latin, meaning "silent" and "quiet." The bed’s standout feature is the distinctive headboard, 120 cm high, which remains proportionate and envelops the back and head of the user, providing a sense of protection. The bed’s edges are slightly rounded without being bulky, and the structure can accommodate various bed bases, with the mattress either semi-recessed or flush.
Despite its rather simple minimalist look, the Sileo bed conceals unique technical details. It is capable of accommodating all bed base models on the market and is available in five sizes, including queen and king sizes. The bed is completed with an aluminum profile on the base or lower edge, available in finishes such as bronze nickel, black chrome, graphite, or amber. The fabric version is fully removable, and the bed base and mattress are not included.
